Boeing AvionX is seeking an Experienced Avionics Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) to join a small and innovative team developing avionics systems for commercial aircraft in a Linux/C+
environment.
A' This unique and exciting position will support multiple new and existing development programs.
A' The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, comfortable working alone, in teams, and with geographically diverse stakeholders.
You are not required to sit onsite however the position will sit out of Plano, Texas.
Position
Responsibilities:
Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.
Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics.
Executes and documents software research and development projects.
Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
Works under general direction.
This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Plano, TX.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US PersonA' as defined by 22 CFR A' 120.
15 is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
A' Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry3
years of experience with embedded systems and/or developing software (C, C++)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience work with DO-178C - at any levelExperience with airplane communications standards such as ethernet, wireless networking, or similar technologyExperience with either C+
and/or on the Linux Operating SystemsTypical Education/
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
