Position Overview: Assist consumers with tasks and activities, which allow them to become more independent in their residential environment.
Essential Job Functions:
?Guide and assist residents to learning to live and function as independently as possible in community
?Provide direct care, interaction and supervision of the residents, inclusive of all daily needs (meals, grooming, personal needs, transportation, recreation, leisure, medical and medication administration)
? Treat residents with dignity and respect at all times including providing opportunities to engage in decision making, constructive activities and habilitative services to the extent they are able
? Complete all paperwork and documentation to be shared by professionals rendering services and by the Interdisciplinary Team, including goals and objectives implementation on a regular basis.
?Assist in coordinating and obtaining specialized services such as behavior, speech, dental, and other therapies needed when the positions schedule is in effect
?Assist other residential staff members and homes as needed
?Prepare progress notes, completes daily logs as directed
?Assist House Manager in maintaining the residence in a clean, safe, and secure manner
?Attend trainings, meetings, and learning sessions
?Conduct self in a professional manner at all times when interacting with residents, neighbors, parents, advocates, consultants, and regulatory agency personnel
?Dispense prescribed medication according to current state regulations and document such on approved agency forms
?May require some or daily driving as needed by the program
?Other duties as assigned by house manager, operations manager or division director
Education: High School Diploma, Associates or some college preferred in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or other related field
Experience: Experience working adults with developmental disabilities preferred, have Maryland driver's license and clean driving record
Other Skills/Abilities:
?Complete physical interventions using Behavioral Principals and Strategies (BPS)
?Proficient at navigating web-based database
?Complete and constant compliance with DDA trainings and MTTP Training (as needed)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
